Introduction
The number system discusses numbers and the two systems to write numbers are the Roman numeral system and Hindu Arabic system. These systems were developed by the ancient mathematicians and are still in use worldwide.
The Roman numeral system which originated from ancient Rome used the letters from Latin as the symbols to write numbers. Hindu Arabic system was developed by Indian mathematicians from the Ist to the 4th century. Later in the 14th century the Romans had accepted the Hindu Arabic system also.
The different types of numbers can be whole, natural, integers, rational etc. It includes study of ratios, fractions, decimals, prime and composite also. Factors and multiples to find LCM and GCD, rounding off and estimations are the other important concepts that are studied in the number system.
